GO UP ABOUT MOROCCO

Location:

In North Africa facing the Mediterranean Sea, home of great civilizations, north of the Atlantic Ocean, gate to the new world, west. Thanks to its geography, Morocco has always been a meeting point of people of all civilizations. Its history goes back in time for a second millennium. Traveling in Morocco, whether East or West, South or North, makes you feel the weight of history living side by side with the present. The contrast of the nature, between a vast open space in the sunny desert, and to the height of the snow tipped mountains in the north not yet meeting the green valley in the west, makes Morocco look like a small continent of its own. Its a unique feeling one can only experience in a Moroccan climate.

Climate:

This geographical situation gives Morocco a temperate climate most of the year and yet one can enjoy all four seasons.

Language:

Arabic is the official language although Berber is widely spoken in several areas. French is second followed by Spanish and English.

Religion:

Islam is the state religion. Islam came to Morocco many centuries ago. The Berber indigenous people of Morocco embraced this religion and took it to Spain where they stayed for centuries The other religion that still lives is Judaism. Moroccan Jews enjoy their life here; even those that have left return in thousands to celebrate Jewish holidays along with their family members.
