Adil Marzouk  [ January, 2005 ]
Adil Marzouk

Born in 1971, Adil grew up in the Ben M’sick Province, Casablanca. After attending first year at Hassan II University, School of Humanities, Adil was selected to represent Morocco in the Morocco Showcase at EPCOT Center, Florida. Later into the program Adil became a Disney Trainer. He helped train new cast members and assisted in ensuring a smooth transition for new candidates into the Disney life.  After completing his 12-month assignment in Orlando, Adil chose to go back to Morocco to continue his undergraduate studies. In 1993, Adil was offered a full time position at The American Language Center, Casablanca and continued to attend college on part-time basis. Adil managed the Media Center and had been the Center’s Students Activities Coordinator before obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in the English Language. Adil also was a teacher in the School’s Children Program until 2000 when He embarked on a new journey back to the USA with one objective in mind: Education, Integration and Recognition. Adil chose the financial services industry, namely the Property and Casualty field. He is a licensed Property and Casualty producer in the Rhode Island, currently working for one of the largest brokerage firms nationally. In May 2004, Adil obtained his M.B.A in Financial Management and is currently pursuing C.P.C.U. (Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter) designation, one of the highest in the industry.  He is also a committed and active member in his community, working with different local charity organizations. Adil hopes to return to Morocco and share his expertise in Risk Management with insurance professionals there. Adil admits Morocco’s financial services industry needs some regulation but he is nonetheless optimistic that Morocco will now be more committed to implementing long over due reforms in that sector.

Adil is a big advocate of immigrants’ integration in American society. He believes Moroccans are well respected in the US, but contends that “Education, Integration and Recognition” are the key to strengthening the name recognition of “Moroccan In The U.S.A” brand.  In an age where misconceptions and confusions, about Islam the Middle East, are at the highest level, Adil urges Moroccans to stand out, integrate and show their genuine Moroccan identity wielding Tolerance, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit. Adil has been particularly inspired by what he calls: The Most telling Moroccan success story in North America: The founder of Wafin.com. He hails his sharp business skills, grand vision and dedication to his expatriates via wafin.com.

In his persistent optimism, Adil firmly believes that “our best days are ahead of us” He recalls J.F. Kennedy’s famous phrase in one of his speeches: “… A thousand-mile journey starts with one little step.” He believes Moroccans have completed big steps toward success, integration, but need to be capitalize on every opportunity to get to the finish line strong and deservingly recognized
