wafin.com: Si Bachir, How are you feeling? We heard that you were a victim of an accident recently. Is that true?

Mr. Skiredj: It couldn't be more true than what you are seeing. Yes, I was hit by a car, and now I've got so much Iron in me, when I go through an airport, I whistle... I am getting better every day though. The doctors tell me that I might never go back to the way I was before, but I can tell you that I will be even better..

wafin.com: Can you tell us about your latest projects?

Mr. Skiredj: I have a movie coming out this April called "Lhaj el Mokhtar Essouldi", and we are now working on a new project between Morocco and the States, with one of the finest cinematographers in Morocco, Mr Abdelkarim Darkaoui. The movie is about a guy who is obsessed with his sexual performance, and generally paranoid. He has two wives who, being fed up with his behavior, decide to send him to some "Fkih" to cure him. Following a technical mistake, he finds himself under a spell that immediately places him in America, in a fantasy world.

wafin.com: What's your take on Moroccan Cinema?

Mr. Skiredj: As it is now, there are a lot of young people in the arena. Some of them left Europe to go to Morocco and start some rather exciting projects. One of the people to come to mind now is Farid abdel Yazid. In the last 5 years, the Moroccan Cinema has made tremendous progress, and is now one of the leaders in the Arab World both in Cinema and Television.

Mr. Skiredj: Stay in America, but stay clean. Do things the right way

Mr. Skiredj: It's fantastic. The internet is the future, and a project like this has tremendous possibilities.
