 Born in Casablanca Morocco on June 25, 1963, Mr. Ameur failed to receive his high school degree and decided to move out of the country and not be
a burden on his family. He immigrated to the United States after an unsuccessful attempt to settle in
Canada. He arrived to the US on August 9, 1988. His destination was Orlando but somehow It did not go well, so he changed his course to Denver after 3 days in Florida where he started going to school. He passed the GED test and got into Valencia College for an AA degree. After graduating from Valencia College he went to the University of Central Florida for a BS degree in applied mathematics, then he received his master degree in the same discipline and is now working towards a PhD in mathematics.
Mr. Ameur is now a professor of mathematics in Valencia Community College. He is loved by his students and his colleagues. He is married to Mrs.Hasnaa and they both love to travel.
Mr. Ameur has been advising everyone to go back to school. His house is always open to help new comers or those in need. He is always willing to listen and go beyond his will to be there for anyone. |
